On the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi celebrated everyday on the day of 13th April, we organised a special assembly in the school. We prepared a role play, and performed in the assembly, to convey a message to the fellow students, about why baisakhi is performed, for whom baisakhi is performed. In this role play we told students the what challenges our farmers has to face in real life.
After the role play, we took the students of all grades for games. We decorated the game room beautifully, as per the Punjabi culture. from that we wanted to convey a message to the students, that we are forgetting our traditional punjabi culture and we need to bring it back. We made them play old traditional games, like: Bante, Poshampa, Stapue. We even had a photography session with kids and teachers, in which we clicked their pictures by making them wear jewellery and traditional punjabi dresses. It was fun doing this activity.
